Job Description

Task and Responsibilities

 Key focus on Chemical, Gas (Bulk/Specialty) and Life safety systems design and engineering support during project execution.
 Experience on conducting, inspect and witness of welding & welder qualifications test mechanical test, materials receiving, and NDT testing
 To support engineering managers on all project activities;
 To work within the engineering team and be involved in all aspects of EPC / EPCM projects from design / engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up;
 Perform design works through entire design cycle from Programming, Concept design, Preliminary Design and Detailed Design and be responsible for design calculations, datasheets, drawings and specifications of respective systems and equipment
 Conduct feasibility studies and perform economic evaluation;
 Responsible for instrumentation and controls systems design, specifications, standard, schedule (i/o, instrument, valve etc.), programming, simulation and testing, start-up and commissioning.
 Coordinate and develop P & ID and / or Sequence of Operations for Electrical System (VSD, Metering, Motor Control Centre). Mechanical Systems (Chilled water, Exhaust, MAU, Process Vacuum, Process Cooling, Compressed Dry Air), and interfaces to packaged systems such as WWTP and UPW/RODI. Knowledge and experience in process chemical and gas system (Bulk/Specialty Gas) will be an advantage.
 Capability of interdisciplinary understanding and managing of relevant interfaces.
 Develop design and specifications of various key components, equipment, systems, etc. and be responsible for preparation and submission of engineering design deliverables and documentation for procurement packages;
 Review technical inquiries and tender document;
 Conduct various stages of design reviews and clarifications.
 Check and review engineering document and drawings for accuracy and completeness for submission and shop fabrication.
 Participate in development of combined services drawings for a fully coordinated construction drawings
 Assist in costing and budgetary proposal meeting technical requirements;
 Take part in project planning and scheduling, cost control and project commercial aspects;
 Provide technical support for manufacturing, logistics and installation phases;
 Coordinate as well as technically clarify with local and international suppliers and subcontractors;
 Support submitting engineers in authority matters
 Perform design verification and approvals in accordance with company procedures and requirements;
 Other extra work assignments from the department when needed;

Requirements

Education:
 Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical/chemical engineering discipline

Working Experience:
 At least 2 years working experience in industrial construction project
 Familiar with the Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point. AutoCAD / BIM skill is an advantage
 At least 5 years of design experience for high-tech industrial projects in Semiconductor, Electronics and Solar industries, specifically proven experience in the Chemical Delivery Systems and Bulk/Specialty Gas Systems, Life Safety Systems (Gas Detectors)

Technical & Professional Knowledge:
 Familiar in industrial gas and chemical process systems;
 Conversant with related building codes
 Good written and spoken English

Special Requirements:
 Willing to travel in domestic base on project basis
 Holding Project Management Certificate will be advantage
