Unix Technical Support Analysts

• Perform installation, implementation, maintenance of new and existing hardware, software and operating systems including updates, configuration changes and patches
• Ensure high level of systems availability by performing regular health-checks and configurations fine-tuning
• Troubleshoot and resolve systems related issues
• Perform Unix scripting / VisualBasic programming
• Document systems procedures and guidelines
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve workflow efficiency

Requirements:

• A recognised Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
• Minimum 3 years experience in Unix/Linux/Solaris/AIX/CentOS operating system administration
• Strong working experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server, Oracle Weblogic and Oracle Database Server
• Good knowledge in fine tuning, high availability systems and systems security
• Strong ability to utilize Unix shell programming methods
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and a team player
